The creator of the direction, and so far the only one who works in it - Alexey
Kovynev
Alexey Kovynev – was born in 1963, in Tomsk-7, Russia, and graduated from the Polytechnical Institute of Tomsk,
Physics-technical faculty, speciality 0311, in 1986. Since 1986 he looks for a sense of life in Energodar,
region of Zaporozhie, Ukraine. Thirteen years of operative work, 11 years in the Control room, 6 years as
shift supervisor were given to Zaporozhie NPP.
1995 – publication of the first issue of monthly humoristic e-newspaper “The
Unit”; by the end of 2000 62 issues were published .
2002 – publication of the book “The Whole Unit” with the best materials of the
e-newspaper «The Unit» (Publishing House «Dikoe Polie» Zaporozhie).
2004 – publication of the book “The Endless Shift” (Publishing House «Dikoe
Polie»).
2004 – the exhibition of cartoons «The Nuclear Power Plant in Cartoons»
was completed, and the exhibition has begun its triumphant procession at the nuclear power plants of
Ukraine.
2005 – publication of the book “The Beyond-Design Destiny”.
2007 – publication of the book “The Power Plant. Chronicle of Two Shifts”.
